Rayna coral fabric, used 4 different ways

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: one of the easiest ways to give your home a bold, new look is through the use of fabric. A burst of color and a show-stopping print can instantly breathe new life into any room. And with the end of summer in sight, now’s the time to start thinking about fabrics that effortlessly transition into fall. It just so happens we’re mildly obsessed with a new fabric from our collection that’s perfect for right now and later on when you’re craving a little warmth.

1 Fabric, 4 Ways: Ticking Stripe

4 ways to use a classic ticking stripe fabric

When we’re designing fabrics, it’s always fun to envision where those designs will live in our customers’ homes. In the case of a classic ticking stripe, there are limitless ways to use this never-go-out-of-style print.

A small ticking stripe looks fantastic as a dining chair cushion (here, we have it on our LeMans Dining Chair). Since the scale of the stripe is small, it works well for items that don’t have a lot of surface area. We also can’t help but love a stripe in the bedroom — on a bedskirt, duvet, and even a headboard. An orderly bedroom is a relaxing space, which is why we love using stripes here!

If you’re a little more daring, perhaps you want to use a ticking stripe on a large sectional. A print is actually a great choice for a large upholstered piece because it hides stains so well! Here, we’ve used it on our Eton Sectional. And if you really just want to bring a touch of ticking into your home, a simple throw pillow works beautifully.

So which way do you like this print best? Would you use our Ticking Stripe in your own home?

Winter Color Palette: Mineral & Drift

Decorating a room with icy blues and neutrals

This Winter’s collection was very obviously inspired by icy blue likes mineral and aqua. Tempered by lots of taupes and grays, a few jolts of blue can really wake up a room and give it a fresh feel. Our Kaley Aqua fabric is one of our favorite new fabrics for our first 2015 collection. We love the way this pattern feels almost tribal but in vivid shades of blue. To pair with the Kaley Aqua, we used our Piper Mineral fabric. This crisp linen-cotton blend has a watercolor effect and a fun, updated dot print!
