We’re Into: Personalized Barware

Personalized glassware

Monogramming, once a tradition associated with the preppy set, has gone mainstream. And we couldn’t be happier about it. A monogram — the personalization of an item with initials — has a way of adding a personal touch and makes you feel like an item was custom-made just for you. In short, if there’s an option to add a monogram, we always do — from totes to towels.

Don’t Be Afraid Of: Faux Plants

By |Decor & Pillows, Decorating|0 Comments

Faux greenery is no longer faux pas

If you ask us, artificial flora and greenery have always had a bad rap. For many people, fake plants instantly conjure old, dusty rooms in grandma’s house. Others operate under the rule of thought that they’re just plain t-a-c-k-y.

But for all you naysayers out there, we say: forget what you think you know about artificial plants and take a second look at today’s tastefully made and totally realistic-looking versions. You just may find that you’re ready to go faux. And, hey, they’re easier to care for than the real thing. So if you’re ready to fake it with a faux plant, check out our styling tips below.

Winter Color Palette: Mineral & Drift

Decorating a room with icy blues and neutrals

This Winter’s collection was very obviously inspired by icy blue likes mineral and aqua. Tempered by lots of taupes and grays, a few jolts of blue can really wake up a room and give it a fresh feel. Our Kaley Aqua fabric is one of our favorite new fabrics for our first 2015 collection. We love the way this pattern feels almost tribal but in vivid shades of blue. To pair with the Kaley Aqua, we used our Piper Mineral fabric. This crisp linen-cotton blend has a watercolor effect and a fun, updated dot print!
