Bunny Williams' holiday collection for Ballard Designs

When we sat down with Bunny Williams, she told us about how she loves to stick with a classic Christmas color palette — reds, greens, whites, and metallics. She created two gorgeous mantel designs to give us a little Christmas inspiration, so we thought we’d share them with you here!

Bunny Williams holiday mantel

Wintergreen & Cream

The first mantel is anchored with her Lattice Oval Cachepot filled with roses, berries, some evergreen, and white hyacinths. We love the way the bright greens look with the antiqued brass finish of her cachepot. Plus, this cachepot has a frog insert that makes flower arranging easy.

Above the mantel she has a trio of preserved boxwood wreaths, one of our decorating essentials! These gorgeous wreaths are real, but preserved, so they last for years, but have real leaves! We use them year round, but especially love them on this mantel!

Next to main flower arrangement in the center of the mantel, Bunny used a pair of her Carved Reindeer and some Wooden Evergreen Trees. These are a beautiful addition to the mantel because the wood grain works so nicely with the waxy, chartreuse leaves of all her greenery.

To create balance on the mantel, Bunny used lots of pairs — a pair of white, potted amaryllis bulbs, as well as a pair of boxwood topiaries in her Silver Wire Cachepots.

Finish off the mantel by tucking faux green apples into the mantel, and hang some Quilled Snowflake Ornaments off the ledge and your mantel is complete!

Gold & Magnolia

On the second mantel, Bunny used a combination of her angels and gilded fruit, topped with a magnolia wreath and garland.

If you have a large mirror or piece of art over your mantel, you can go a little lighter on the decorations. That’s why we love how just a rope of garland and a wreath are all your really need to build this gorgeous focal point.

Of course these wooden fruit pieces don’t hurt either. Their glittery, antiqued finish is the perfect compliment to Bunny’s Angels.
