Dear Style Studio Team,

This is a Ballard Table from years ago!

I still love it dearly — it was a momentous purchase that I saved for when I was young, single, and just starting out — but I’ve since married, had two kids, and moved into my dream home!

But I still love Ballard all these years later. We’ve both grown, but who we are hasn’t changed. I don’t want to give up on this piece. It’s true quality that has been with me since the beginning.

So how do I take these pieces into the 21st century? No more matchy-matchy for me! New host chairs? Maybe a bench? What about the back wall? Side wall? Wall decor? Fun fabrics! New light fixture! Color!

I want to take this from drab to fab! So let’s do this. Once again, I’ve been saving! 😉

Love you Ballard!

Gina

Ballard Dining Table

Gina,

The beauty of our furniture is that the classic lines carry the pieces through decades of living. We are thrilled to hear that you have experienced it!

We have a few colorful ideas to update your classic table in your new home.

We suggest starting by laying down one of our stunning rugs … the Allure Rug. The colors are beautiful and they create a fabulous palette for your space.

Next, place the Piave Breakfront in Distressed Blue Green and then flank this piece with our Valletta Candle Scones. Replace your existing light fixture with the Denley 10-Light Chandelier for a graphic touch.

As another spot of color, consider adding our Cortina Chair, wrapped in Linen Spa, to each end of the table. As an added personal touch, tie our monogrammed Hemstich Linen Napkins to the back of each side chair. Not only is this a great way to change colors with the seasons, it is also an easy way to welcome dinner guest to your home.

Don’t forget to give your windows a little drama by hanging a Burlap Crewel Trellis panel between each window and on each end. Using a black iron rod will repeat the finish on your new chandelier.

Let’s now consider the wall to the left of the dining table. We recommend adding two of our Grand Tour Etageres for additional display space and then hang our Subtle Beauty Figure Art between the etageres.

To finish off the space, add in our Crest Mirrors around the top of the artwork to reflect light into your dining space.
