It’s football season, so we asked the entertaining experts at Southern Living to share their best tips for game day. Whether you’re tailgating at the field or having a few friends over to watch the game, celebrating with your fellow football fans should be fun and delicious.

Norman King, from Southern Living’s test kitchens, shows us easy ways to elevate basic condiments, like ketchup, mustard and relish. Plus, we get a little help from Southern Living’s Katie Morrow by learning how to serve these upgraded condiments in perfect style.

A Stylish Presentation

In classic southern style, Katie dresses up her condiments by pouring them into jelly jars for easy transport to the game or for serving at home. “I love to use these jars, because they pack in the refrigerator or cooler, and they look great on the table with a little spoon inside for serving,” says Katie. They also fit perfectly in our Southern Living Seagrass Condiment Caddy, which is especially helpful if you’re serving outside.

Like the condiment tags? They’re a cinch to make: pick up a few paint swatches in your team colors and cut them to size. Write the recipe name on the swatch, glue it onto the tag and secure to the jar with twine. Here’s to a winning game-day spread!
