I have a dilemma with my bedroom. I don’t know what colors to choose. Can you please help me? I really like how the spa linen drapes look in the catalog but don’t know if that color can go in a bedroom. I’m looking for a relaxing mood for my bedroom, my mind wonders a lot at night time, also I don’t know what would be the best place to put my bed. this is how my bedroom looks right now, I haven’t bought anything cause I don’t know what to get, can you please help me? size of my bedroom is 17’ 1/2 by 13’ and there’s a fireplace right next to the bookcase.
You have several options with bed placement in your room since you have nice views in a couple of different directions. The best placement when you walk in the room is to put your bed against the window. We suggest the Louis Headboard. You could then swath your window wall in wispy drapery panels to create a focal point but still allow light to come through the windows.
Try using Bryn Mawr on your bed. The colors in this fabric will provide the spa feeling your are seeking but it also incorporates warm wood colors to repeat your ceiling. Fill your bed with comfy pillows in fabrics like: Cream Linen, Blue/Gray Linen and Velvet Teal for a little color saturation. Next, paint your walls a white tone with a hint of blue … Benjamin Moore Morning Dew (OC-140). We also suggest painting your red brick fireplace a soft white color and your bookcase a slightly darker version of your wall color. Remember to paint a small section of your wall with a sample so you can see how it works with your lighting before tackling your whole room.
To finish off your room, we suggest adding smaller bedside tables and a beautiful piece of art to the right of your French doors. Consider our White Heron Giclee Print as a natural choice. We also recommend the Suvero Rug for your floor and our Pesaro Lamp in celadon for the perfect lighting.
