Ever wondered who creates all those beautiful rooms you see in the Ballard Designs catalog each month?

Meet Jill Sharp Brinson, creative director, resident designer and stylist extraordinaire responsible for Ballard’s signature look for the past 15 years. Jill literally lives for great design. Her spectacular Atlanta home made the December/January 2010 cover of House Beautiful.

In addition to her work with BD, Jill runs her own styling, design and decorating business, and co-owns a highly successful commission art studio with her celebrated photographer/husband, Rob. Obviously, Jill doesn’t sleep much.

I am looking for a ceiling fan exactly like the one on the cover of Ballard Designs Summer Favorites 2011 catalogue (before and after with Traditional Home). Can you tell me the name of that fan? I'm sure it is just owned by the homeowner for that photoshoot, but I would love to find out! Thanks!

How would I find out the paint colors and curtain fabrics I see in the catalog that are not listed for sale? Page 26 of the catalog MB1AB130 for example. Thanks, S Romm

I love the paint palette that you use in your catalog. Especially the off whites. What brand & color is it? I'd appreciate it. Thank you. I want my little apartment to look just like your catalog.

Jill, I was hoping you would know what color the room in the newest catalog (early spring 2011) on page 25 is painted. I have painted my living and dining room a color called clam shell from Lowes and I have a couch that is very similar in color to that tone in the one in the picture. I would love to find a swatch of that to see if it matches what I have at home!

Jill ... I love your home featured in House Beautiful. I am trying to redecorate and your color palette is just about right on for me and as a matter of fact I have picked paint colors in this palette for my home. I wonder if you would share the name/brand of wallpaper in your office? My living room is long and narrow and the wall at one end runs into a hallway. While, I've picked a color (warm) to do a faux painting technique with the intent of the warm color coming forward so that the room doesn't seem to be quite as long. I'm now considering that wallpaper would do the trick too. Thank you.
