We thought you might like to see what it takes to go on location to shoot the pages of our catalog. It truly takes a small army to coordinate the process. It starts with finding the “perfect” house – one that is filled with great light. Then we pack all of our new items for the catalog, as well as anything we might need on location. Thanks to our warehouse and studio teams, this overwhelming task is painstakingly choreographed time after time.
Everything has to be packed and identified, put into moving trucks. Upon arrival at the house, the warehouse and studio teams unpack everything and place it into designated areas (usually in the garages and basement of the home) until it is needed. The average time to shoot all the rooms is anywhere from two to three weeks.
We usually have at least two of our favorite photographers shooting simultaneously. Between the stylists, photographers and the support crews, everything falls into place. The crews are amazing at rigging chandeliers, mirrors and the like.
From the planning of the new catalog to its arrival at your front door, the task is monumental. It takes many talented, hard-working people to make it all happen. We do hope that you enjoy a behind the scenes look of our October, November, December Catalog 2009.
